HORSESHOE TOURNAMENT AT MANCELONA MOOSE FAMILY CENTER.
July 3rd.,from 12:00 noon until the tournament ends. There is a $5.00 entry fee to participate in the tournament. We will have hamburgers for $2.00, cheeseburgers for $2.25, and brats for $1.50. First, second, and third place prizes awarded. We will be having a 50/50 raffle and fun to be had by all. For more information or if you have questions contact Les Sizemore or Dean Ordway.

Wertz Warriors golf outing has been rescheduled for September. We will be working with Kalkaska Lodge on this one. Please let Keith Robbins know if you are interested in participating. We will be asking for volunteers to help us and work this event.

Adopt a Highway clean up is Wed., July 14Th.  If we are rained out we will meet on Thurs., July 15th to clean it up. We need a lot of help so come on down and make our Lodge proud.

Thank you for all your hard work and donations. It was a super event that raised $12,500 for Special Olympics and Moose Charities. Thirty nine members rode their motorcycles down to Kelly Shorts Stadium in Mt. Pleasant. Super Job. Look for pictures on the website.

Please let us all say a prayer for our ill members Benny Schram and Margot Variot. I have a challenge for all Moose members this month. I challenge you all to make one person smile every day for a month. Your prize at the end of the month will be a really great feeling inside. God Bless!

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all who participated in the Bake Sale held on June 12, 2010 at the Lodge.

Just a note to let everyone know about the goings on at the Lodge for this year. We will be having a Bake Sale at Glens Markets in Mancelona, September 4TH, from 1:00 to 6:00 PM. We are currently posting a sign up sheet for bake goods for this sale. We will be taking your donations starting Friday evening at the Lodge. This Events will benefit our Lodge Sunshine Child " Austin Perkins", and our Child City, Mooseheart.
We will also be hosting a Book Sale at the Lodge, Saturday September 4th, Noon to 5:00PM . We are placing a box in the social quarters to collect clean paperbacks or hard cover books. Older text books are also welcome. Please no Readers Digest short stories or magazines of any kind.  They simply don't sell. This sale will be in support of The Scholarship Maintenance Fund at Mooseheart.

Please let one of the officers know if you have any questions. We are looking forward to your support. If you can volunteer to help at the Bake Sale please notify Debbie Fischer at 587-5104. If interested in helping with the Book Sale, please contact JoAnn Erdmann at 587-1093. If you are unable to donate a baked good, your time, or books, please consider a cash donation of $10 to $20.

Another year has passed. It is time for our school supply drive. Please bring in the school supplies you wish to donate and leave them in the designated box located in the social quarters.  We will be presenting them to the selected school in August before school starts.  Please attend your General Meeting in July and give your input on the school we should choose this year. Great sales will begin in July. Let the Officers know if you want to participate in a shopping night. As always if you can’t participate a cash donation is appreciated. We are looking forward to working with you. Together we can make a big difference.
